The 12th season of the most awaited domestic cricket league in the world – Indian Premier League is about to begin in a couple of months. Indian Premier League popularly known as IPL is the world’s most money making and famous cricket league in the world.

After 11 successful seasons, the 12th season is a very much anticipated event right now. And it is scheduled to begin on 29 March 2019 and will go on for a period of 60 days.

Due to Lok Sabha elections in India, the IPL 2019 could be shifted to some other venue and countries like South Africa or Dubai. South Africa is the main contender for hosting IPL 2019.

The best IPL team so far Chennai Super Kings made a remarkable comeback last season after sustaining a 2 year ban and won the tournament for the third time matching the record of Mumbai Indians.

Last year we witnessed many new things in the IPL. Many match winners left their┬álong term teams like the turbanator┬áHarbhajan Singh was not retained by the Mumbai Indians last year and he was grabbed by Chennai Super Kings instantly, and surely they won’t be regretting the decision as they won the last season.

Gautam Gambhir who helped Kolkata Knight Riders won 2 titles was also not retained which was shocking at first and he was moved back to his home team of Delhi Daredevils.

Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu went to Chennai Super Kings and they played important roles in their title win run. KL Rahul, R Ashwin, Aaron Finch were moved to Kings XI Punjab but apparently, they weren’t as efficient.

Dinesh Karthik and Manish Pandey went to Kolkata Knight Riders. Manish Pandey went to Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH under the leadership of Kiwie player Kane Williamson touched new heights. Their gameplay was fabulous in IPL 2018 and the mastermind Kane took them all the way to the finals.

These were the changes introduced in the last season. All the franchises have released the list of their retained and released players. Still we wait for the auctions to see the shocking new changes that this season will offer. Which players will remain and which will have to move.
