Strengths of Rajasthan Royals IPL 2018 Team
Batting line-up is obviously the base of Rajasthan’s strength. They have Smith and Rahane at the top who are known for the consistent performances. On top of that Rajasthan Royals have packed a solid middle order and adding experienced players like Stuart Binny and Darcy Short only provides a boost to already supreme batting order. Rajasthan Royals looks much better than the Strength of Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2018. Costliest player of the season Ben Stokes and Steve Smith both played an integral role to take their previous team Rising Pune Super-giants to the finals and they might just repeat the same with Rajasthan this year. One thing of certainty is that this team is capable of posting or chasing humongous totals any day.
Weaknesses of Rajasthan Royals IPL 2018 Team
The main weakness of Rajasthan is that they have invested a lot in uncapped players as they do in all auctions. It could haunt them in the middle of the tournament as some young players due to inexperience perish under pressure while all the experience comes from the overseas players and considering the stipulation of playing only 4 overseas players this might come as a disadvantage to the Rajasthan side. Plus, they don’t have any specialist bowler in the line-up other than Jaidev Unadkat and we all are aware of what happens to weak Bowling line-up in the IPL.
Will Rajasthan Royals win IPL 2018?
Rajasthan Royals team look balanced to their core. With the most expensive player, the Englishman Ben Stokes and the skipper Steve Smith and Ajinkya Rahane in their squad Rajasthan Royals got a decent batting line-up that can destroy any bowling attack on their good day. With Steve Smith’s skipper capabilities, he has shown time and again that he is amongst the best skippers and can take his team to winning glory. Adding a good round-up of quality All-rounders like Ben Stokes, Stuart Binny, Darcy Short just enhance their chances of performing well and winning the title for the second time. Rajasthan Royals was the winner of the inaugural season of IPL, after that their performance remained consistent but they never could really win the title but this year’s IPL 2018 squad for Rajasthan Royals looks ready for action and let’s just hope Rajasthan Royals could just turn the tables around this season. We just have to wait and see.
